11/20/2008	Mattias Ohlund, D, Van	Ohlund tallied three assists in the Canucks' 6-3 win over the New York Rangers on Wednesday night. Analysis: When healthy, Ohlund has been a relatively consistent point-scoring defenseman throughout his career. He's contributing at a similar clip this season, with nine points in 19 games.
11/20/2008	Alex Burrows, LW, Van	Burrows scored two of Vancouver's goals against Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist as the Canucks earned a 6-3 victory over New York on Wednesday night. Analysis: Burrows had gone seven straight games without a goal, totaling just two assists over that span, before Wednesday. Still, his 13 points in 19 games this season is well above his career pace. He had 31 points while playing in all of Vancouver's games last season.
11/20/2008	Henrik Lundqvist, G, NYR	The matchup of Vezina Trophy favorites Lundqvist and Vancouver's Roberto Luongo fizzled as the New York netminder was gone 5:33 into the second period of the Rangers' 6-3 loss Wednesday. He allowed five goals on 17 shots. Analysis: This is definitely a major aberration for Lundqvist, who had two or fewer goals in 12 straight starts entering Wednesday. Expect him to bounce back quickly.
11/20/2008	Bobby Ryan, RW, Anh	Ryan scored his first two goals of the season and assisted on another for the Ducks, but Anaheim couldn't overcome a four-point night from Alex Ovechkin in a 6-4 loss to Washington on Wednesday. Analysis: The Ducks are waiting to see signs of production from the second overall pick of the 2005 entry draft, and last night may have been the first indication he's ready.
11/20/2008	Alexander Ovechkin, LW, Was	Ovechkin scored with the man advantage to extend his goal streak to five games and added three assists, sending the Capitals to a 6-4 victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday night. Analysis: Amazingly, Ovechkin got off to a rocky start this season, going nine straight without a goal at one point, but he's clearly emerging from his funk. He has six goals and eight assists in his last five games.
11/20/2008	Erik Johnson, D, StL	Johnson, out for the season after injuring his knee during a preseason team golf outing in September, had surgery to repair a damaged ligament. Analysis: Johnson, the first overall pick of the 2006 draft, is expected to be ready for training camp next season. He tore two ligaments when his foot got stuck in a golf cart.
11/20/2008	Marco Sturm, LW, Bos	Sturm missed the Bruins' 7-4 home win over Buffalo with an unspecified upper-body injury. Analysis: The extent of the injury is unclear, but it forced Sturm to miss his first game of the season. The left wing has six goals and six assists through 18 contests. Boston's next game is Friday against Florida, and Sturm's status for it is unknown.
11/20/2008	Shaone Morrisonn, D, Was	Morrisonn has missed each of the last six games - most recently, a 6-4 Capitals win at Anaheim on Wednesday - due to a groin injury. Analysis: Morrisonn hasn't played since a win over Carolina on Nov. 6. The extent of his injury is unclear, leaving his status for Thursday's game at Los Angeles uncertain. He has been held to an assist through 12 games thus far.
11/19/2008	Ben Guite, RW, Col	Guite suffered a rib injury and hasn't played since Nov. 8. Analysis: He is listed as day-to-day.
11/19/2008	Brent Johnson, G, Was	Johnson left a game on Nov. 12 with a hip injury. Analysis: Johnson has not played since then and it is uncertain when he will return in net.
11/19/2008	Sergei Fedorov, C, Was	Fedorov has missed six games for undisclosed reasons. Analysis: It is uncertain when he will return to the lineup. He has four goals and five assists.
11/19/2008	Jim Vandermeer, D, Cgy	Vandermeer has not played since Nov. 9 because of a fractured foot. Analysis: It is uncertain when Vandermeer, who has two assists this season.
11/19/2008	Scott Hannan, D, Col	Hannan missed one game with flu-like symptoms on Nov. 6. Analysis: He has one point this season.
11/19/2008	Ossi Vaananen, D, Phi	Vaananen missed three games with an upper-body injury. Analysis: He has five assists and no goals this season.
11/19/2008	Erik Reitz, D, Min	Reitz missed five games with the flu for the Wild. Analysis: Reitz returned to action on Nov. 1 and still has just one goal and no assists this season.
11/19/2008	Steve Eminger, D, TB	Eminger snapped a 63-game, goal-scoring drought with 2:51 left in the third, and also assisted on the Lightning's two other goals, but Tampa Bay lost 4-3 in a shootout to Florida on Tuesday. Analysis: Eminger isn't going to score many points, though he did have 35 points over two seasons with Washington in 2005-06 and 2006-07.
11/19/2008	Bryan McCabe, D, Fla	McCabe scored twice in regulation, and the Panthers beat Tampa Bay 4-3 in a shootout on Tuesday night. Analysis: McCabe scored just five goals last season after scoring at least 15 the previous three seasons. He already has three in just seven games this season.
11/19/2008	Miikka Kiprusoff, G, Cgy	Kiprusoff stopped 22 shots for the win as the Flames beat Colorado 4-1 on Tuesday. Analysis: Kiprusoff is hoping that will signal the end of his recent slump. Coming into the game, he had been 2-4-0 with a 4.91 GAA in his last six starts, and was yanked from his previous start after allowing four goals in the first period.
11/19/2008	Pascal Leclaire, G, Cls	Leclaire allowed seven goals on just 19 shots Tuesday, but wasn't pulled, in the Blue Jackets' ugly 7-2 loss to Edmonton. Analysis: Leclaire had an outstanding 2.25 goals-against average last season, but he's hardly come close to matching that so far in 2008-09. He's 4-4-0 with a 3.56 GAA in nine starts.
11/19/2008	Adrian Aucoin, D, Cgy	Aucoin tallied a goal and an assist in the Flames' 4-1 win over Colorado on Tuesday. Analysis: Aucoin now has three points in the last two games after being held without a point for the previous five contests. Still, if he can stay healthy, Aucoin has proven himself to be a decent goal-scorer for a defenseman. He had 10 goals and 25 assists in 76 games last season.
